 European Colorectal Congress, 29th Nov. - 2nd Dec. 2011 St.Gallen, Switzerland.

EUROPEAN COLORECTAL CONGRESS
29th November 2011 - 2nd December 2011
St.Gallen, Switzerland

The main topic this year is:

WHAT’S NEW IN RECTAL CANCER?

At this year’s congress we will deal with the topic „rectum carcinoma“ in detail. We will discuss several different surgical techniques for the treatment of rectal carcinomas, to range from transanal resection for smaller carcinomas to total pelvic exenteration of advanced rectal carcinomas. Of course we will also look into the subject multimodal strategies.

Additionally we are planning to broadcast interesting live surgery from three operating theatres to the main lecture hall on Tuesday, 29th November 2011.

Please see the scientific programme here.

Workshops
Furthermore we have scheduled hands-on-workshops on 28th November 2011. The workshops cover proctological and laparoscopical topics. The programme of the workshops includes hands-on-training, short lectures as well as discussion.

Registration
An early bird fee is offered until 21st September 2011. To encourage the participation of young professionals, we continue offering a reduced participation fee for fellows in training.

Poster Award
Again we are looking for the best poster in the field of „Colorectal surgery“. The deadline for abstract submission is 30th September 2011.

I’m looking forward to meeting you in St.Gallen at the European Colorectal Congress 2011!

Sincerely,

Prof. Jochen Lange
